About this artwork
In this piece, I expressed an explosion of energy and movement, like a waterfall that never stops. I used acrylic to capture the power and fluidity of nature in vibrant, contrasting tones. I wanted it to convey calm and dynamism at the same time, so that the viewer feels the connection between chaos and harmony, filling the space with life and emotion.
Dorisa Camps is a citizen of the world, born in Santa Clara, Cuba. By early age a self-taught creator, she went on to develop her skills as a textile designer.
Visual and plastic artist Dorisa was determined to follow her passion for the arts. Despite challenges, she returned to the world of creation with a vibrant universe of colors, gestural brushstrokes, and bold palette-knife work. Her approach as multidisciplinary artist seeks a symbiosis between emotion and reality. Through mixed media-including acrylic and oil on canvas, lithography, ink, airbrushing, gouache, and textured techniques-she captures the profound connection between humanity and nature.
Inspired by landscapes and sunrises, she often incorporates reliefs and hydrographic elements into her art. Her pictorial language is imbued with a sense of healing-inviting meditation, peace, and spiritual harmony while serving as a therapeutic journey of deep emotional expression. www.dorisacamps.com
