The freelance artist Dorit Bearach was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel, in 1958. In 1979 she moved to Dresden to study painting and graphics at the College of Fine Arts, graduating in 1985 with a diploma. In 1986 she moved to Berlin, where she lives today and creates her expressive paintings. She regularly spends time working in Finland, Switzerland and Turkey.
