About this artwork
In crafting this painting, I ventured into the realm of cubism meshed with fine art, harnessing geometric shapes to weave a narrative that transcends traditional perspectives. Each angular line and carefully chosen color shade reflects the complexity of human interactions and emotions. This artwork embodies the contrast and harmony found in relationships, revealing the interplay of independence and intimacy. It's designed to inspire reflection and… add a profound, modern aesthetic to any space, making viewers pause and ponder the depths of human connections.
« It took me four years to paint like Rafael, but I've been learning all my life to paint like a child. »
Dorota Kwiatkowska is an artist based in Poland whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. She usually paints people based on earlier sketches (created on a computer, tablet, or paper). Her work is not limited to the motif of women and men — she creates series of artworks to tell a story. In a geometric way, she tries to "narrate" it. Since her school days (she is an interior designer by education), she has continued designing. Mixing styles allows her to keep exploring and discovering new aspects of art. She also enjoys painting drapery, light, and shadow, as they bring an abstract element to her works. These geometric textiles are not always immediately visible at first glance.
