About this artwork
This cool abstract has merit and meaning. My Smart City Art series was the featured art at the 2025 SRI Sustainability Research & Innovation Congress in Chicago. Scientists and researchers from around the word were saying about sustainability, "We have the science! We just need the word to get out!" It's 2026, and at least here in the USA, the word has gotten out, but 15-minute walkability gets ignored and even denied.
This piece bursts with raw… energy and chaotic rhythm, capturing the clash between urban growth and human movement. Using acrylic, pen, spray, and ink, I layered vibrant blues and dynamic lines to express tension and flow. It brings a bold, electrifying pulse to any space, inviting viewers to dive into the hectic, vivid dance of city life and its contradictions.

I am a bestselling polymath painter. My floral art is based on actual medical/scientific studies on health and happiness. In 2024, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine interviewed me for my “happy” art and my book, 100 Days Of Happy Happy Art, Evidence-Based Design. My art was also on the Jan/Feb 2025 cover of Healthcare Design Magazine. I am EDAC certified.
By 2050, an estimated 70% of the world’s population will live in cities. My Smart City Art abstract series promotes this planet-healing idea. I also worked in Tokyo as an English rewriter for the anime/animation industry, which included working on a Studio Ghibli film before it got sold to Disney. I believe this influence comes out in my Smart City Art abstracts.
In 2026, I was awarded a 3-month artist residency in beautiful Shanghai, China. From this experience came the Swatch Art Peace Hotel art series.
I have recently started sharing art inspired by my Northern Woodlands Native American/French-Metis heritage.
