About this artwork
This piece is made from a combination of aluminum metal, black and gold port'd'oro marble, and white staciatello marble, and a section of Indian heartwood. Similar to the use of multimedia in creating the piece, this sphere also represents a connection from my work in astrophysics to my craft of sculpture.
