About this artwork
I was talking to my artist friend the other day and he said he didn't like the green aspect of my work. He thought I should just take green out and replace it with pink. Upon reflection, and within the realm and ideas of mythology and philosophy as I see them, green is the most important colour. Green is the colour that provides us with oxygen via photosynthesis, without which breath would be impossible. Green is the colour of spring and rebirth…
and the colour of American money.
Perhaps that why America has become so tainted. It's taken the most imporant and pure colour and turned it into the colour of money.
In yogic theory, green is the colour of the heart. It is the bridge between what came before and what comes after. Green is the journey.
