About this artwork
This is one of three pieces that came in quick succession in a sleepless night.
For the first time in a long time, I couldn't sleep.
I got up and started painting with my ink sets that I keep at my home studio.
What links all three is that each started with a line.
I haven't been painting with colour as much as my Keep Art It studio is in storage.
It was a great joy to rediscover those materials and act on the impulse at the moment.
This one… is my favourite of the three.
