About this artwork
This piece is a commentary on health and the reliance on medication to regulate our emotions and health. In many ways, these are miracle drugs and I am truely an advocate of medication in many specific circumstances. However, each drug has a consequence and even if the consequence is that we live in a health frenzied society where ill health is seen as the worst possible outcome, that is a negative outcome in itself.
With this piece I'm just reflecting… what I see sometimes. It's easier to take a pill than put in the work to get better.
