About this artwork
The first Brush piece done in the new studio space of Keep Art It.
This work took over 8 months to create.
It was named by my son Theodore (4 yrs old) who saw it and said "Daddy, that looks like a Rocket!"
I'll leave you to decide why he called it that and form your own relationship to the work.
The wood this piece is fixed to was found and has a history of holes and dents. I had a long discussion with my assistant about fixing the imperfections… but decided to leave them as a story of the materials.
I love leaving space. It allows the work to be part of the room while to room still presents a wall to engage with through the work.
