About this artwork
Parallel Place is a series of paintings which explores compromised childhood memories of the place which really doesn’t exist in reality.
The paintings are a thought process; driven and reflective...
My process is organic, beginning the paintings with gestural brush marks, impulsive scrawling and graffiti. Layers are introduced in stages and the direction of the painting is informed and influenced by each previous mark and colour. They are suggestive… in possibilities and provide some insight into the sensation experienced while creating the works.
Organic, vibrant, expressive, contemplative, textured, painting, canvas, abstract, colourful contemporary, energetic, bright, engaging, exciting, neon, movement, immersive, atmospheric, depth, layered, moody, gray, blue, green, brown, black, yellow, orange

« I use the process of painting to document physical and psychological presence, investigating the communicative function of colour and form as a reaction. »
Dragomir Misina is a talented British artist who has exhibited his work throughout the UK. Long motivated by the pure drive to create, he uses paintings to explore colour, texture and mark-making.
