Duc Tran is an internationally exhibited US-based Vietnamese artist who looks to explore the world of colors. A self-taught artist, Tran passed the entrance exam for Fine Art School at the age of 18, but went on to study Chemistry so as to please his parents. Tran’s experience as a chemical engineer is palpable within his work: the geometric lines of the cranes, turbines and electric wires of the hydroelectric plant inspired his Cubist and stylized manner of depicting the world.
