About this artwork
Flow. This is about movement in the natural world. This series, "Currents," is created without actual contact with the canvas. Painted by gravity, where the only connection is when the paint drips and moves down the canvas. By adjusting the canvas's angle, I can control the pigment's speed or distance. The flow of color. Currents.
Once I am satisfied with the flow and rhythm of the color and space between the line, I will let the piece sit… for a few days to dry. The "Currents" are normally displayed horizontally unless displayed in a multi-panel group.
When in a group panel layout, I would alternate the natural flow of the paint.

« Being an artist takes courage. Doing art means showing up every day whether you feel like it, or not. Be a successful artist is being ready when luck's door finally opens. »
Duke Windsor is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in Turkey. He cites his use of gold leaf as having become a means through which he honors his subjects. While Windsor endeavors to pay homage to his subjects, he also hopes to illuminate the emotions within the viewer.
