Bana is a work in which I wanted to explore the fusion between woman and animal, between human and nature. Inspired by mythology and African art, this hybrid figure embodies an ancestral power, a sacred connection with the earth and the sky. Tamara de Lempicka, reinterpreting their strength in a more instinctive and primitive language. The bird, a symbol of freedom, instinct, and movement, merges with the woman, like an extension of her being. I created this work on paper with acrylic and oil marker, then enhanced it with a glossy varnish that intensifies the colors and contrasts. It is not framed, leaving everyone the freedom to define its contours.
