About this artwork
This work pays tribute to my grandmother Marcel, a woman I never knew, who died of breast cancer at 42, but whose story has deeply impacted my family. The pink hues and symbols of femininity—flowers, lipstick, the moon—celebrate beauty, strength, and resilience. The pink ribbon, tattooed on her arm, echoes the mastectomy scar: a symbol of courage and transformation. It is a tribute to my grandmother, but also to all the women around the world who…
are battling this disease. We all know someone who is struggling or mourning a loss. Through my art, I hope to transmit strength and light to them.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Alix Goor, a self-taught artist, expresses herself mainly through painting. Her style mixes the abstract with the figurative, revealing a raw, naïve, pop or neo-fauvist art, with sharp black lines and vibrant hues that build a unique visual language. She paints femininity and the plural beauty of women with raw energy, exploring themes such as nature, spirituality and sensations through intense colors. Her work, hypnotic and intense, summons the emotions of "Luxury, Calm and Voluptuousness".
