About this artwork
In the fashion and advertising industry, women are reduced to their external appearance and used as tools to market products to represent a certain ideal of beauty or image. Models thus become easily interchangeable carriers of brand messages, whose individual personality or individual expression plays no role.
In this work I combine acrylic (background) and a drawing from 1979 (the female figures) into a collage to create a dynamic, expressive… composition of the female figure in her search for identity.
