About this artwork
In this work, I have set out to capture the very essence of the Purebred Spanish Horse, highlighting both its power and its intrinsic elegance through a dressage scene. To achieve this effect, I have incorporated elements of abstraction that enhance the strength of the composition without diverting attention from the main motif.
The play with splashes, washed areas and spilled paint are resources that I have used to add dynamism and texture to… the work. These elements not only add visual interest, but also reflect the intensity of the dressage process, where the interaction between rider and horse becomes a dance of strength and grace.
Through this contemporary piece, I seek to convey the palpable energy that emanates from equine nobility, as well as the unique connection that is established between the animal and its trainer. It is my way of celebrating the majesty of the Spanish horse and paying tribute to the tradition and skill that characterize it.

Eduardo Blanco is an award-winning artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, Austria, and Italy. He is particularly fascinated by the effects of light, which he endeavors to capture through his works. Blanco's distinctive figurative and semi-abstract compositions are most often created using a limited color palette of warm and cold tones with oils and watercolors.
