About this artwork
In my work "The Unknown", I fuse contemporary realism with semi-abstract figuration, capturing the essence and mysterious depth of the world of the geisha. I use a mixture of iron and brass oxide, acrylic and oil to create a rich and expressive color palette. The composition invites viewers to embark on a journey into the unknown, suggesting a mystery shrouded in darkness. The geishas, with their grace, seem to be heading towards a hidden destiny,…
enveloped in an aura of enigma. This anticipation inspires the title. Beyond portraying their external beauty, my goal is to convey the depth of their inner world and the intrigue they arouse. It is a tribute to the timeless and enigmatic beauty of Japanese culture, prompting viewers to reflect on mysteries beyond the obvious.
