« Regarding my art, most of the time words come as an excess. I want my paintings to speak for themselves. »
I intentionally avoid assigning decipherable titles or providing literal
explanations. It is important to me that each viewer approaches the work
without external guidance, forming their own interpretations based solely on
the visual and emotional experience. Today, discourse, statements, and
fabricated personas are often prioritised over the actual work itself. As a result,
the constructed “persona” has, regrettably, come to overshadow the true
substance of what anyone produces.
I understand that this approach runs counter to much of the advice commonly
given to gain visibility. But if we cannot remain true to our principles in creative
endeavours, then what, ultimately, do we have left?
