About this artwork
Materiality and how when presented or confronted the work changes the viewer perception and feeling of him or herself. Since the extrusions or protrusions on each work translate to three dimensionality, when changing the viewers perspective the work changes as the light play with the reflective materials such crashed pearls and silver. Capturing light and changing how you feel and see an artwork is my aim.
The reflective areas are aluminum. The rest… is plaster hand extruded on burlap. The work can be positioned vertically or horizontally.

Eduardo Terranova is an experienced Colombian painter and sculptor based in the US. Employing a range of materials and techniques including plaster, lacquer, spray paint, embroidery and fabric, he weaves influences from architecture, entropy, landscape and social dichotomies into works bursting with light and texture. Terranova ultimately intends to communicate the magic of interrelationships between cosmos, nature and man.
