About this artwork
This painting presents a personal and emotional vision through a ceiling-like composition, inhabited by ghostly angelic figures, as if suspended dust in the air. The structure echoes the sacred architecture of Gaudí's chapel, yet here the angels float in disconnection, hovering between heaven and earth — shadows of hope or helplessness.
The title, Angel Dust, refers to the dissociative anesthetic drug known for its use in pain relief and sedation.… Its effects — detachment from reality and insensitivity to pain — symbolize the state many people in Israel find themselves in today: oscillating between unbearable reality and emotional numbness as a means of survival.
The work expresses the tension between the yearning for beauty, transcendence, and peace — and the harsh ground of collective pain, anxiety, and powerlessness. Still, amidst this spiral, there's movement, color, and an upward gaze — perhaps a quiet gesture toward hope.

Einat Lev Ari is an experienced artist based in Israel whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Art Reveal Magazine, The Flux Review Art, Coffee Magazine, etc. Won many art awards such as the Professional & Established Artist category award from the Society of Visual Artists in London, Certificate of artistic merit awarded by the museum Luxembourg. Ari cites her background as a psychologist as being inextricably linked to her artistic practice. Today she studies in an art school and paints in acrylic and oil, engages in sculpture and installations.
