About this artwork
In a world where stability often feels like a distant dream, the harbor serves as a reminder of moments of peace and security. Yet, even within this quiet, the ripples in the water remind us that life never stands still – it is in constant motion, sometimes gentle and sometimes turbulent.
The floating sunflowers, on their way to sinking, reflect the collapse of dreams and ideals in the face of harsh realities. Like blooms once at their peak, we… too find ourselves struggling to hold onto hope in a world that changes before our eyes.
The swimming fish symbolize the resilience of life – even when the waters are not calm. They remind us that amid waves of pain or storms of uncertainty, there is movement.
This painting is dedicated to our current reality – to loss, to hope, and to the strength found in change. It expresses the pain of the moment but also the power within us, as individuals and as a society, to float, to swim, and perhaps even to shift the direction of the current.
« Art has power, the more it is used its power will increase and connect people to situations, thoughts, and emotions. »
