About this artwork
Government persecution, civil war, genocide and other atrocities have forced them to leave their homes and homelands, seeking refuge in Israel.
Between 5,000 and 7,000 asylum seekers are survivors of the Sinai torture camps and carry in their bodies and minds the scars of captivity and cruel torture.
Eritrean, Sudanese and other asylum seekers who have come to Israel are facing a difficult reality of life and a violation of human rights. Although… they are staying here legally and have a residence permit from the Ministry of the Interior, the State of Israel considers them "infiltrators", refrains from establishing a clear policy regarding their status and rights, and there is no defined authority that coordinates their care.
Appeared in : magazine projects for global news and events through artists, creatives and international writers.
