About this artwork
"Macondo" is part of my "Fermatica" series, which depicts people in those unobserved moments when they are completely at peace with themselves. The reader steps out of their surroundings; a unique, silent space opens up between them and the vast emptiness. I am interested in that brief state in which the everyday loses its self-evidence and becomes a story whose beginning and end we do not know.
