I love the beautiful simplicity of this painting. It's very pure and focussed. It manages to be very simple, and yet have layers of beautiful nuance. With this latest series of work, I used bold blocks of colour to command attention. The paintings are soft, sensual and striking.
They have a directness, using straight lines, and an off kilter symmetry.… But within that it holds a sensuous quiet warmth that nourishes and feeds the viewer on an emotional level.
