About this artwork
This latest painting "Susurrus" has a significance to me of a new beginning. After a cumulation of experiments and trials throughout 2025, using a range of new materials and techniques, to try and achieve a language that embodies my own experience, my personal story, I feel I have finally landed.
For me the work symbolises freedom and hope, and new beginning.
The word "Susurrus" comes from the Latin meaning whisper. I chose this as it relates to… the very gentle nature of the work.
I wanted to convey tranquility, intimacy, and connection. The nuanced language creates an atmospheric, ethereal painting, that captures the delicate whispers of life and nature.
