About this artwork
MNA 2 is a part of the MONO NO AWARE series. It is a translucent sculpture made from epoxy resin and sakura petals, symbolizing "mono no aware" itself in Japanese culture.
A direct encounter with the material pattern of nature immerses the viewer in meditative reflections on the value of a fleeting moment and gives time and silence to search for stable support within oneself, especially relevant now, in a rapidly changing reality, an unimaginable… mixture of concepts, events, aesthetics, and politics.
the work can be placed on the chest or on the window, it is created to interact with the background showing the surrounding reality through the "mono no aware" filter.
