About this artwork
'Echoes' is a very important artwork Elena finalized in 2018. It was one of the first paintings that inspired the 'Contours Series'. The colors shine bright in this painting, with outlines and silhouettes expanding across the paper in all directions. Shortly after completing 'Echoes', Elena painted two larger canvases that were inspired by this painting, called 'Trees of the Argonne'.
