About this artwork
"Sundown" is sparkling alive and a color loaded exposition that will catch the viewers eye with ease. A walk towards the setting sun, a blossoming blooming meadow of pop colors and imagery. One can view the outlines and silhouettes expanding in a muralistic decoration, as if a landscape seen from a distance. Static energy pulsates off the canvas as the colors dance rhythmically to their own expression.
This painting is stretched in the studio, over… quality made stretcher-bars / frames, using heavy cotton canvas. Good quality surface to paint on and using premium paints, will give the end result a superior look.

« It’s a journey through different colors and shapes, inspirations, and observations - where I can pick the parts that speak to me the most, putting them together in search of harmony. »
Elena Erickson's works center around figures, shapes, flowers, fabric, water, color, and nature. The Swiss painter, who is based in the United States, spends a great deal of her time experimenting with different colors, hues, and shades, as well as their effect on each other. Erickson's abstract pieces capture static energy through her exploration of colors, mixing paint, and playing with reflections.
