About this artwork
Very dark colors, a lot of tension and heavy feelings. Taking into account the fact that this lecture took place on the day of remembrance of the victims of the catastrophe of European Jewry in World War II. It was very hard for me to sit in front of the easel with canvas and paints. What to paint? How to remain yourself in such a difficult topic? How not to give up and not go into the blackness of depression? I love beauty, I want to please and…
I hope that my works cheer up and inspire faith that everything will be fine! In this work, I used colors that are heavy, in such a combination, they should convey anxiety and fear, which means that the form should convey tenderness, faith and hope! That is why I depicted flowers, even in dark times, in total horror, there must be hope! Even in the ashes, after the first rain, grass will rise! This is my manifest! Even in silver, cold, you can see not a weapon, but a beautiful rose!
