About this artwork
This painting depicts the idea of being part of a whole, of something bigger than oneself. We are constantly moving further through life, just like the moving stream of fish are traveling together through the depths of the ocean. In this painting I have harnessed a variety of blue hues to convey the serene atmosphere of the deep ocean, bringing tranquillity and depth to your home. The stream was first sculpted with a thick layer of modelling paste,…
then covered with acrylic paints, giving the movement a vivid, palpable quality.

The Mythic Wild is the driving force behind Elena Grigore’s art. Her acrylic paintings dive into the space where mythical creatures, real wildlife, and the beauty of nature meet, often setting them in dreamy, imaginative scenes. Elena creates each piece to be a look into the psyche and dreams, engaging the viewer on a genuine, emotional level. Her collection features a wide emotional range: while some works burst with powerful contrasts and vivid colours, some are serene and radiate calm.
To give the paintings depth you can feel, Elena often builds up the surface using thick layers of acrylic paint and modelling paste. This creates a beautiful, textural, three-dimensional effect. These vibrant pieces are perfect for lifting the mood of your space and bringing a bit of the Mythic Wild's magic right into your home.
