"Painting is the place where the world and my memories meet. It is the space where what I feel takes shape and becomes presence."
Elena Lemust is a contemporary Italian painter. Her research focuses on contemporary figuration, exploring the human figure, the body, and the gaze as loci of identity and tension.
In his works, the face can become an intense presence, the body fragmented under the sign, the image permeated by gestural or symbolic interferences. Color and texture not only describe, but also connect strength and vulnerability, control and instinct.
His works construct an emotional space in which memory, perception, and surface coexist, giving shape to presences that inhabit the gaze.
