Elena Lemust

Elena Lemust is an Italian artist who develops abstract research through painting, fabric, and layering materials. Her works emerge from an intuitive process in which gesture, erasure, stitching, and layering construct complex surfaces, revealing the traces of time and transformation.

Working with raw canvases, pigments, fabrics, and graphic signs, she creates essential compositions in which material and gesture interact in a constant balance between rigor and spontaneity. Her works do not seek representation, but evoke fragments, rhythms, and relationships open to personal interpretation.

Through a pared-down palette and a strong focus on texture, Elena Lemust explores the surface as a place of construction and memory, where every mark contributes to the narrative of the creative process. Her works invite the viewer to linger on the details, layers, and silent tensions that emerge from the encounter between different materials.
