Eleonor Welchbillic

Credentials

  • Works on commission
« Duality is omnipresent in my work, which oscillates between softness and violence, gushing and fleeing, hardness and fragility, interior and exterior, as well as full and empty. »
Eleonor Welchbillic is a French sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Italy. The observation of nature, the body, and the world around her produce a sensation that she transcribes expressively through materials. Welchbillic employs extremely different materials in her sculptures, from wood, metal, cardboard, and plaster, to wire. The common thread of which is simplicity. Each material is a new exploration that she transforms and transcends, giving it a "new form, new breath, and new meaning".
