About this artwork
This work, despite the title, draws inspiration from Dante Alighieri's Inferno and is part of my 'Shadows' series, where I explored the dark side of creativity.
On a nickel yellow and ocher background, I painted shapes in Van Dyck brown, which emerge like mysterious shadows and evoke tormented souls and their journeys through the darkness, in homage to Dante's powerful narrative.
I like to think that this work can find a special place in the homes… of those who appreciate the beauty that comes from darkness, adding atmosphere to any environment.
Heaven" is a continuous dialogue between light and shadow, hope and desperation, and enriches spaces with its enigmatic and powerful presence.

Elide Pizzini, painter and photographer, draws inspiration from the observation of her painter grandmother. He uses experimental techniques, freeing his artistic expression through the use of flexible plastic spatulas to spread the colour, creating a work that is "generated, not created". His work emotionally evokes the complexities of rebirth and the interaction of opposites, conveyed through the metaphor of the mirror as a portal to other dimensions.
