About this artwork
In this work, I explore the duality of human existence through the prism of time.
The dance of life through black and white imposes its graphic force, punctuated by gears.
In the center, two butterflies rotate, supported by a mechanism.
The work evokes the passage of time, its cycles and its eternal recurrence.
Between balance and movement, painting becomes the breath of life.
The functional mechanism, powered by two AA batteries, sets the rhythm… of the whole.
I wanted to express the life cycle
Protected by glass and encircled by an iron frame, the work becomes a mirror of our relationship to time.
