About this artwork
In this work entitled "Memories of Indochina", I exploit acrylic, oil and gilding to capture the nostalgic essence and refinement of Indochina. The figurative, vintage style reinforces the emotional connection, evoking an era long gone but never forgotten. These women, elegant and mysterious, are symbols of timeless beauty and cultural richness, dressed in a palette that evokes both luxury and mystery. My painting is an invitation to travel through… time, adding a touch of elegance and mystery to any living space.
Elisabeth Mione was passionate about painting from her teenage years, every week she went to the Louvre to contemplate the works of the great masters. She mainly uses oil on canvas, sometimes enriching with gold leaf. Her figurative work focuses on portraits of women, celebrating their beauty across different eras. Her work evokes the eternal woman.
