Elise Berkvens experiences the world as complex, layered, and intriguing. As a neurodivergent person, she navigates these layers in her own unique way. Painting is her way of introducing logic—or, conversely, of demonstrating the impossibility of grasping everything.

Her spaces seem familiar, yet disorienting; often devoid of people, an echo of how we live in increasingly digital worlds these days. Yet, she senses a deep longing for connection and presence.

In an age of AI and constant change, Berkvens' work aims to reflect on the temporary, the moment, the here and now. It invites us to slow down, to look, and to feel: a place where silence, movement, logic, and humanity converge.
