About this artwork
This piece is an homage to a few of Albert's influences, including Samuel Palmer, Sarah Charlesworth, Jacob Ruisdael, Andrei Tarkovsky, and others. The substrate is a photograph of a book feathered with post-it notes that was then printed on linen and painted with the trunk and branches of an Ash tree.

« Paradoxically, the very nature of these works is entropic, even as they try to capture and order. Everything: paint, fabric, and all materials have a stored energy, an intrinsic vibrancy. »
