About this artwork
This paint and sewn fabric collage on canvas is based on a smaller collage on paper that Albert wanted to recreate on a larger scale. Like much of her work it is composed of glimpses, or fragmented imagery like that experiences in a dream or half-conscious state. "I imagined a frozen world beginning to melt; a time of transition, of resolution."

« Paradoxically, the very nature of these works is entropic, even as they try to capture and order. Everything: paint, fabric, and all materials have a stored energy, an intrinsic vibrancy. »
