About this artwork
Albert has long had a fascination for water and for the various ways painting can represent water. In this piece she used a mirrored photograph of A Ruisdael drawing printed on canvas as the physical base and the base for inspiration. Albert speaks of imagining a small boat moving through a bayou with towering trees above.

« Paradoxically, the very nature of these works is entropic, even as they try to capture and order. Everything: paint, fabric, and all materials have a stored energy, an intrinsic vibrancy. »
