Due to climate change, I have spent the last 4 years radically changing my approach to making. I have switched to making all my own inks and using totally sustainable substrates, such as tree-free papers and nettle linen. I avoid using any of the usual chemical processes to make prints, and have restructured my studio to be as close to zero waste as possible.
This piece uses hand-made botanical inks from plants grown at Loveland dye garden in Cornwall,… which I help run. These prints were made during a live art demonstration at Krowji studios in July 2025, where I screen-printed onto nettle linen using my bespoke printmaking machine, and straw to form a natural mask for the screen. Everything is done manually and is therefore, utterly unique. It is not possible to replicate or reproduce any of my prints exactly, so these are not editions but one-offs.
A channel has been sewn into the fabric to allow the work to be hung like a tapestry. Please note, the stick is not included.
