About this artwork
In this acrylic piece, I poured my emotions into a figure caught in a moment of vulnerability and strength. The abstract layers reveal the complexity of human experience, while expressionist strokes convey inner turmoil and grace. This painting radiates deep energy, inviting your space to hold both challenge and resilience in a beautifully raw embrace.
I have here painted a person jumping into water and/or open terrain. The action symbolizes for… me the importance of daring to take on challenges. To grow as people, we must trust and have faith in our own decisions, even when we are unsure. We must dare to explore the unknown in order to master new skills and to become confident people.
I quote the philosopher Søren Kierkegaard: “To dare is to lose one’s footing for a little while, to not dare is to lose oneself.”
