About this artwork
This painting captures the timeless essence of the olive tree, a symbol of resilience, wisdom, and deep connection to the land. Set against a luminous gold leaf background, the olive tree stands rooted in rich blue soil, evoking the contrast between the earth and the divine, the past and the present.
The textured branches stretch outward, their leaves shimmering with life, representing endurance through centuries of change. The deep blue ground… beneath it speaks of the unseen strength that nourishes the tree—perhaps the stories, the struggles, and the history embedded in the land itself.
This piece invites reflection on nature’s quiet strength, the olive tree’s sacred presence in Mediterranean culture, and the harmony between earth and sky. It is a celebration of nature’s beauty and a reminder of the deep roots that connect us to our heritage.
« Painting is for me one of the ways that can allow anyone to see with his mind what cannot be seen with eyes, to expect the unexpected, to feel alive. »
