About this artwork
Haurvatât is a Persian goddess, representing "wholeness" and being present as the divine guardian of liquids - water - used in ritual libations. It is told that she brings prospoerity and health. The third month (of the Iranian calendar) is dedicated to her - later pronounced Hordad (Khordad).
