About this artwork
The work takes its name metaphorically from the flowers collected in the birdcage. The perfume is derived from the essence of many flowers and this essence is kept in a hidden bottle. Reflecting this, the birdcage also symbolizes the butterfly cage. The various flowers in women's hands reflect perfume varieties. The discourse of women's scent or women are flowers is also reflected in the work. The various harmonies of colors and the delicate structure…
of butterflies have the characteristics of perfume bottles. In addition, the female figure of the perfume bottle and the figure of the young woman standing behind the bird cage are similar.
