About this artwork
In the foothills, the fields are smaller, often interspersed with groups of trees or smaller woods. This gives the summer landscape a distinctive once different from the wide cornfields of the lowlands. The sky often plays with a varied range of cumulus clouds, but today it is likely that there will be no rain from this cloud.
A summer day as you wish.
Oil painting on linen canvas 400 gr/m2, framed.
« I see myself as a painter rather than an artist in a strong sense, but, far from this play of words, I'm just trying to paint nature for the joy of it. »
Emil Mlynárčik is a Slovakian painter whose art has been featured in several solo exhibitions in Poland and Slovakia, as well as in Portugal. Having grown up in a small mountainous village, he was surrounded by folk art, song, dance and crafts. For over 30 years Mlynárčik has dedicated himself to mastering realistic depictions of nature and rural motifs. He works on linen canvases and exclusively uses oils because they dry slower, allowing him to focus on detail.
