About this artwork
In this work, I sought to capture the raw energy and ephemeral power of the sea. Using acrylics, I played with textures and contrasts to reflect the duality between tumult and tranquility. This semi-abstract painting is not just a representation of the sea, but an evocation of the immensity and indomitable force of nature, adding a dynamic and inspiring presence to any space where it is displayed.
Émilie Cerles, a self-taught artist from Aveyron, creates abstract art using various tools and materials such as water and white vinegar. She enjoys experimenting with the effects of these materials to create natural lines and reliefs, constantly seeking to discover new techniques. Through her works, Emilie Cerles pays homage to her land, nature, and expresses her emotions using intuitive colors and shapes.
