About this artwork
Path in the mountain forest in summer. The painting is almost monochrome. The infinite shades of green are represented on raw cotton canvas with fine grain without basic preparation. As if it were a graphic on paper but with the effect of natural fabric. The work is not framed because given its size it also lends itself to being glued to a wall or wooden support as well as being framed and hung like a traditional painting.
Emma Assisi, with a degree in Painting and specialization in Graphic Art, expresses her art between painting and engraving. Through engraving techniques, she organizes her research around the plot of her compositional structures, creating forms in continuous evolution. Her works convey the tension between individual parts and total surface, insinuating an atmosphere of perpetual gestation and transformation.
