Emmanuel Van Kalck, a self-taught and passionate artist, has been painting since 1992 after a career in printing and photogravure. He has mastered realism with saturated colors, animal art, and ventures into dark abstraction, while also experimenting with gyotaku, a Japanese technique of engraving fish caught in the English Channel. His works, oscillating between dreams and escapism, instill a sense of escape and tranquility, inviting everyone to leave behind the weight of everyday life.
