I feel deeply grateful to live in this beautiful city. London constantly inspires me—its light, its rhythm, its quiet moments by the water—and this painting grew out of that feeling.
Bathed in deep blues and soft, reflective light, the scene blends recognisable architecture—the Shard, Tower Bridge, and riverside buildings—with an impressionistic sense of calm. The water becomes a mirror for the sky’s gentle glow, while small boats drift almost dreamlike… across the surface.
Rather than documenting the city as it is, the painting interprets it through mood. Vibrations of colour, diffused lights, and softened edges create an atmosphere of stillness and contemplation. Serene Thames is less a landscape and more an emotional portrait of London—its energy softened into poetry, its vastness distilled into tranquillity.
